Not everyone manages to elicit such wonderful sounds from a guitar as effortlessly as Joscho Stephan... "Acoustic Rhythm" offers 12 very carefully recorded songs, the majority of which are cover versions, such as "What a Wonderful World", "Caravan" and "Blackbird". But also his stylistic quotations, like in the own composition "Bolero" and "Chica" inspire the friend of virtuoso guitar sounds. Joscho Stephan is accompanied by an excellent band, which is just as convincing during solos as it is as an ensemble. Extremely entertaining and relaxing easy listening. (FOLKWORLD 11/2014)
